About Di’ Mark’s Pizza:

In the New York’s Little Italy, you wake up on Sunday mornings not to the smell of crisping bacon and fluffy pancakes but to garlic, basic and vine-ripened tomatoes. This simple spaghetti sauce, which Italian-Americans called “gravy,” was prepared for the traditional Sunday spaghetti dinner which the family would enjoy. For the next few hours you’d hear rhythmic chopping and the pleasant banging of wooden spoons against the sides of the pot and just before lunchtime, the smell of a pizza that has just come out of the oven would waft up to whet your appetite. Over the years this Italian tradition has been adapted by many Filipino immigrants, one of whom brought back this practice to the Philippines and eventually started a restaurant called Di’ Mark’s. Make Di’ Mark’s a Sunday tradition and sit down to a meal that is lovingly prepared by a wholesome family restaurant.

After moving back from their stay in New York in 1956, the founders of Di’ Mark’s opened the restaurant, naming it after their youngest child, Marky. It was a very simple operation with borrowed tables and chairs in the garden of their family home in Menlo Road, Pasay. Today, after almost five decades since they’ve started rolling their own dough and making their own sauce, Di’ Mark’s takes pride in bringing you the same home-cooked, quality food and service that the founders, the current owner’s parents, started in the 1950s. Each pizza is made with dough that they make in-house with homemade tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, oregano and the best olive oil. As they say: “Di’ Mark’s is the family restaurant where Mama runs the kitchen and Papa promotes the fun!”
