Job Description


- To work with cloud providers to integrate corporate and hosted services.
- To undertake the design and implementation of Linux solutions within a complex technical environment.
- Undertake thorough root cause analyses of problems in line with third party vendors where appropriate.
- Perform OS installations / upgrades & co-ordinate between development / testing / vendors to deliver the OS following change management processes.
- Perform Patch Administration & co-ordination in Linux
- Perform backups and manage disaster recovery plan for all systems and services.
- Perform user management activities
- To provide advice and guidance on Linux administration and management.
- Provide solutions that meet the requirements of DSS\PCI certification.
- Improvement of Global processes and procedures.

Desired Skills & Experience


- Candidate must possess at least a Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate, Bachelor's/College Degree , Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Applicants must be willing to work in Makati City. 2 Full-Time positions available.

KNOWLEDGE

- Understanding and experience of Cloud computing, in particular Amazon’s AWS cloud based service.
- Linux system administration – Ubuntu\Red Hat Server
- Experience in bootstrapping (Chef\Puppet, desirable)
- Knowledge of Apache\NGINX\IIS
- Knowledge of scripting languages, and command line utilities.
- Open source backup technology. Knowledge of MS SQL\ MySQL & Oracle (preferable)
- R2 Active Directory/system administration shell/perl scripting
- TCP/IP networking on a global level
- Advanced skills with DHCP, WINS, DNS, host files, etc.
- Experience with server monitoring technologies to include SNMP.
- Detailed knowledge and experience of SAN technologies and their implementation and support.
- Clear understanding of networking devices and concepts.

- Effective communicator; ability to communicate to people at all levels - above average people skills.
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and concepts.
- Ability to present ideas clearly in non-technical terms. Ability to develop and document processes.

EXPERIENCE

- Proven experience of working with cloud providers or hosting partners.
- Proven experience of supporting a Linux & Microsoft client/server infrastructure.
- Proven experience of supporting large-scale back-end computing systems.
- Linux Certification or equivalent experience.
- Degree in Computer Science or similar field is desirable, but not required.
- Proven experience of deploying large scale solutions across multiple locations.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

- Flexibility of working hours is essential (cover of on-call rota may be required).
- Candidates must be willing to work on UK hours (mid-PM schedule).
