Willie Revillame Announces New Show

 MANILA, Philippines - Ending what he says critics might term as "pagpapaimportante" on his part, Willie Revillame has announced that he will host a new show in 2013 after he leaves "Wil Time Bigtime."

"Okey. Mga January 5, that's it for 'Wil Time Bigtime.'

"Pero ilang linggo lang po at ilang araw lang, bubuksan na ang bago-mas malaki, mas makikinig sa inyo at mas magbibigay ng pagmamahal na todo-todo para sa inyo. Okey?" said Revillame on "Wil Time Bigtime" Friday.

The announcement was greeted by booming applause from the live audience.

The host continued: "Kaya i-enjoy natin yung 'Wil Time Bigtime' hanggang nandito at marami kaming ibibigay sa inyo na big time na papremyo. Okey?"

The two-year-old show, formerly known as "Willing Willie," has been Revillame's biggest project with the Kapatid network since transferring in 2010.

New show, new games

Revillame promised that the new show will have original segments and games, as well as bigger prizes.

"'Yun po, sa paglipat na 'yun, bibigyan namin ng pagkakataon yung mga nangangarap na gustong sumikat...Meron diyan mahilig magiging star, meron tayong title diyan na 'Born To Be A Star,"' shared the 51-year-old actor-host.

Willie will also go the extra mile in giving assistance to the needy.

"'Yung mga nangangarap, mga batang kapuspalad na walang pambili ng gamit, damit para sa pangkontes, ibibigay po 'yan ng bagong programa.

"'Yung mga magulang na walang pangpaaral sa kanilang mga anak, na kaya naming tulungan, sa abot kaya po ng programang bago, ibibigay po namin 'yan."

Revillame did not give the date when the new show would air. He only said that by the time he turns 52 on Jan. 27, the new studio with new equipments for the new show will likely be in place.

He assured that "mas magiging kumportable po kayo. Hindi na kayo aantukin," he said, which some say could be a hint at the timeslot the new show will occupy.

Recall that unlike his former shows on ABS-CBN that were aired noon, "Wil Time" on TV5 starts at 7 p.m.
