Who among these lovely ladies are ready for the MMFF Red-Carpet?

The coming Awards Night of the 38^th Metro Manila Film Festival is definitely a special spectacle in the name of beauty. Sure we all have our expectancies of the winners but we’re also looking forward to what’s happening on the red carpet. But before that night takes place, Metro Magazine’s beauty editor and certified makeup artist (she earned her rigorous training from The Make-up Institute in San Franciso and from various international cosmetics power houses) Charmagne Garcia-Laconico gives us her two-cents worth on beauty and particularly on what kind of look a few celebrities should be pulling off on the red carpet. Angelica Panganiban
“The 'One More Try' actress has a beauty so immaculate that she can get away with anything,” Charmagne says. “She can definitely pull off the blue eye trend. I think that an indigo colored upper lash lined thickly will be a nice surprise. That can be the main statement of her look, everything else can be tamed down,” she adds.

 

Bianca King
Charmagne thinks that 'Sosy Problems' actress Bianca King will look good in the glamorous and classic combination of matte red lip, black winged eye and bright glowing skin. “Her beauty will really come out in this look.”

 Cristine Reyes
“If there is anyone who can put together an ultra modern look that is hip and sexy at the same time, that is 'El Presidente' star Cristine Reyes. The graphic eye trend that borders the wing eye look will be nice to see on her just like the way they did it in the Thierry Mugler S/S13 show,” Charmagne says.

Heart Evangelista
Charmagne says that another big trend for S/S13 is the bright lip look with a twist—bright reds are combined with bright fuchsia shades or bright orange for an added dimension. “If there is anyone who will look good in this trend, that will be 'Sosy Problems' actress Heart Evangelista,” she says.

Julia Montes
“Her youthfulness should be celebrated for as long she can. A nice clean fresh face with peachy pink lips will look really good on 'The Strangers' star,” Charmagne says.

Kris Aquino
“We rarely see the 'Sisterekas' actress in smoky eyes.” For Charmagne, chinky-eyed women look great in smoke. “Kris will look good in a good charcoal grey shade of smoky eyes with peachy pink blush and nude matte lips,” she explains.

 Lovi Poe
“The runways this S/S13 shows the domination of earth tones around the eyes and the focus is on the lips and complexion. With 'Thy Womb' actress' beautiful tanned complexion, I am sure she'll look really good with earth tones on the eyes with lashes layered with mascara paired with satin bronzed skin,” Charmagne explains.

Nora Aunor
Charmagne is used to seeing the superstar (who is coming out in 'El Presidente' and 'Thy Womb') in nude and natural colored lip shades. “It will be refreshing to see her lips in a bright wine red color during this holiday season."

Rhian Ramos
“Polished skin with highlights on the higher planes of her face with a real clean sweep of golden bronze eyeshadow and thin black eyeliner will look good on Rhian, star of 'Sosy Problems'," Charmagne says. “It may be very far from her usual sweet image but it will be a refreshing sight on her.”

Solenn Heusaff “We always see 'Sosy Problems' star Solenn wearing her long hair down,” Charmagne says. “I would like to see a more sophisticated version of her on the red carpet this holiday season. Sleek back low tied hair with strong brows and red plum lipstick shade would be a fresh sight on her.”
