Catch the Santa Fest and more at Ocean Park Hong Kong


The merriest time of the year is in the air! The Yuletide season is never complete without the jolly, gift-giving Santa Claus in his red jumpsuit. Instead of waiting for him to visit your place, why not catch him at Ocean Park Hong Kong?

Proving to be the perfect place to celebrate both Christmas and New Year, Ocean Park unveiled its annual Yuletide celebration, Christmas Sensation. With this year’s theme “Santa Festival,” different Santas from various parts of the globe will spread joy at Ocean Park Hong Kong’s best attractions will be taking centerstage this season, bringing more smiles and excitement to visitors.

Here’s Santa’s list of the activities that will make your holiday extra special at Ocean Park Hong Kong:

Experience a snowy holiday. Visit the Polar Adventure, where the North and South Poles meet in Asia. You not only get to experience a wintry holiday, but you'll also have close encounters with penguins, owls, walruses and other Arctic animals, and get a glimpse of how they live in their habitat. Do you know how climate change impacts the icy parts of the globe? At Polar Adventure, you’ll learn more about conservation, how to help prevent the polar caps from melting, and more importantly, how to help care for furry and feathery friends who live there.

Meet pandas with a mission. Pandas are now endangered, and Ocean Park Hong Kong is doing its best in providing them with TLC. Hong Kong Jockey Club Sichuan Treasures is home to giant pandas An An and Jia Jia. And they’re not just ordinary pandas they’re animal ambassadors that teach humans the value of conservation. Pay them a visit and join them in saving the animals from extinction, and Mother Nature from destruction.

Celebrate memories. Take a trip down memory lane with a nostalgic tour of Old Hong Kong. Relive Hong Kong in the '50s, '60s, and '70s as you walk through recreated scenes and streets. To make it more realistic, Ocean Park Hong Kong made a replica of the famous Star Ferry Pier clock tower and its signature toll. A retrofitted heritage tramcar and rows of classic tong lau-style apartment buildings were also replicated to give the surroundings a realistic Old Hong Kong feel. In addition, visitors can also grab a bite of at least 70 local street foods reminiscent of the Old Hong Kong flavor.

Be one with nature. Explore one of Mother Nature’s best features at the Rainforest! Be one with nature and follow the Expedition Trail to see how magnificent some of the world's best flora and fauna, and South America’s avian, terrestrial and aquatic animals. Enjoy close encounters with the Pygmy Marmoset, world’s smallest monkey and Capybara, world’s largest rodent. You’ll also get a thrill with a boat ride through The Rapids.

Go on an extreme adventure. If you’re in for extreme fun this holiday, then Thrill Mountain is for you! Enjoy extreme attractions like the Hair Raiser, the floorless roller coaster; experience the feel of flight with The Aviator; hang upside down and swing at The Flash; or take a spin on the Bumper Blasters, a traditional bumper car ride for all ages. So go ahead and have the extreme experience of your lifetime!

Marvel at the ocean. Don’t miss a trip to Aqua City, where you can find The Grand Aquarium that is home to more than 5,000 fishes from over 400 species. For a unique underwater experience, watch Symbio!, a multisensory show projected onto the world's first 360-degree water screen.
