Sony's new Walkman can be used while swimming
Sony Corp. has announced that it will release on Feb. 16 a new Walkman W series headset with enhanced waterproof capabilities enough to enable swimmers to listen to music.
The NWD-W273 weighs approximately 29 grams and is roughly 10,000 yen. The lightweight wearable music player can upload 2,650 songs and is also fit for runners and other athletes, Sony said.
The latest Walkman is designed to hold up during intense workouts and for depths of up to 2 meters underwater for 60 minutes after being recharged for three minutes. The previous version had a water-resistant property.
